Description
Prosthetics:
Tips for defined approximal finishing for cast gold inlays and partial crowns.
The problem:
Approximal gold inlays and partial crowns require a high degree of skill – and optimal working materials. Desirable basic shapes and edge geometry often cannot be achieved with rotating instruments. Instead, the result is irregular edges and edge angles with unstable enamel structures.
The solution:
The KaVo SONICflex prep gold tips (0.571.0321) which have been specially developed for gold inlays and partial crowns, with optimum bevel angles:
Tips diamond-coated on one side and with defined edge angles: lateral 45° and cervical 35°.
Exact cavities: Because the geometry for gold inlays and partial crowns is exactly transferred
Reproducibility: The result of the usual hollow-ground bevelling of the approximal box is reproducible and considerably improved
Less stress, particularly in critical procedures
Time-saving preparation for more efficient work
Gentle on tooth substance and adjacent tooth: higher quality of the restoration and reduced dimension of the cement joint
Avoidance of undesired undercuts
Improved work documents for the dental technician
Therapy: precise preparation of various bevel-angles around margins, after “rough preparation” with rotary instrument; this enables improved dental restoration
Form: mesial, tips with defined bevel-angles: lateral – 60° cervical – 75°,
diamond coating D 46
